Echoes Beneath takes grotto sculpture as its central field, connecting digital capture, three-dimensional reconstruction, procedural generation, spatial sound and cinematic narrative. It does not simply reproduce a heritage site; it builds an immersive passage through destruction, dispersal, image-making and cultural migration.
栖霞山火
A Northern Zhou grotto world of fire, artisans and stone. Its narrative is an artistic interpretation, not a historical reconstruction.
莫高窟尘劫
A late-Qing grotto world of manuscripts, guardianship and dispersal, preserving the complexity of historical judgement.
龙门曌相
The anonymous hands behind monumental sculpture return image-making to bodies, labour and choice.
飞来峰溯源
Image migration and local cultural landscape ask how a mountain becomes a structure of collective imagination.
Panoramic Narrative
Spatial composition, sound, motion and light guide attention, shifting spectatorship from viewing an image to entering a world.
Version System
